The war between the Old Man and the Empire reaches new heights when Badrock returns.
This is it. The last issue of Brandon Graham and Co.'s magnum opus. Witness the final battle between Old Man Prophet and the Earth empire as it plays out in a kaleidoscope of cosmic chaos the likes of which you will never forget!
(W) Ed Brisson (A) Simon Roy
A man wakes in a field wearing nothing but his underwear. He's got no idea who he is or how he got there. His only connection to the outside world is a cell phone that receives mysterious texts warning him of impending danger. Danger like Christian, an ex-Bible salesman in the middle of a crime spree fueled by Christian Rock, dirty sex, meth, murder, and keeping this underwear-clad, nameless, and past-less man close by his side.
From the writer of Sheltered and the artist of Prophet comes a new thriller with overtones of 'Old Boy' and 'Breaking Bad' as well as a weird, almost naked amnesiac dude thrown in for good measure! Simon Roy has been absolutely killing it on both 'Prophet' and his recent book 'Jan's Atomic Heart,' and with his fantastic sense of light and color, this is sure to be one hell of a ride! Brisson has also achieved some success with his recent movie/tv deal thing for 'Sheltered,' so don't miss out on what may be the next Hollywood blockbuster!

From the mind of Simon Roy, co-writer and artist of the Eisner Award-nominated series PROPHET, comes a collection of tales that span time, space, and species.
Waaaaaay back in 2009 before Simon blew up with his amazing work on Prophet, he was just another cartoonist from Vancouver making bad ass sci-fi comics that not many people would ever see. I remember the day when we got in the original 'Jan's Atomic Heart' and thinking, "Holy sh*t, this guy is gonna be big!" Simon's art was definitely the first thing that stood out, especially his ability to use light and shadow, even without color, but what really hit me was the story. The poignant way in which he delved into the characters, especailly the feeling of what it is like to be a human in a robot body was quite moving and when set against the backdrop of a bleak, russian-esque sc-fi world, well...yeah..happy place. Highly recommended for all fans of Brandon Graham's work or just great euro style sci-fi in general!
Ok, and I also have to do a small shout out for Brandon's new book, "Empowered Special #6: Internal Medicine' which he is working on with the highly talented Adam Warren! For fans of sexy girl manga anime awesomeness (and puns) it's a match made in heaven!!
(W/A) Ron Wimberly
All Die-Hard, all the time!!
Apparently the solicitation for this issue was never updated, but don't fear, casey the comic monkey is here to preach the gospel of RON WIMBERLY!!! That's right, the man who brought the you modern masterpiece "Prince of Cats" turns his attention to the infinite reaches of the stars for a very special issue of Prophet focusing on the ever vigilant super-soldier, Die-Hard!! Wimberly is THE most talented creator working in comics today (next to Brandon, (sorry)) and clearly Graham realizes this as he has stepped aside to give Ron full creative control over this issue!! Don't be a chump and pick up what is sure to be the best comic of the first half of 2014!!!

Ex-organ smuggler Sexica and her werewolf boyfriend Nikoli travel across a sci-fi/fantasy version of Russia while the hardcore organ hound Blue Nura tracks a bounty across radioactive wastelands.
Slice of life comics from a world where magic and monsters are commonplace.
Collects MULTIPLE WARHEADS #1-4 and MULTIPLE WARHEADS: DOWN FALL
Prepare to enter a world of untold mystery and fantasy as Brandon Graham invites you into his boundless imagination for a tale of organ smugglers, riddles of color, werewolves and blue bounty hunters. This is Brandon at his current height; refined, cohesive and filled with otherworldly color that adds a new dimension to his already multi layered work. Brandon is among the few creators leading the charge of putting the NEW and FUN back into comix. In the words of the king, "DON'T ASK, JUST BUY!"
(W/A) Farel Dalrymple
Delusional is a book of comics and drawings by cartoonist Farel Dalrymple. You might have seen them in various anthologies, or posted on the internets, but now they are collected into one beautiful tome. Farel's previous work includes Pop Gun War, Omega the Unknown, and the occasional Prophet.
If you happen to come upon Farel at a convention, he usually looks a little out of place with his suit, nicely combed hair and glasses, almost like a professor of some nature ready to drop crazy comic book knowledge bombs on the unsuspecting passersby. Intrigued, you step closer and look at the pages spread out on the table and then you hear a hissing noise like the slow release of air through a small hole which you slowly realize is your brain being depressurized by the sheer depth of Farel's art. He perfectly straddles the hyper detailed obsessiveness of Moebius with the cartooning wit and charm of Charles Schultz if Schultz grew up in the slums of some off world colony light-years away.
(W/A) Giannis Milonogiannis
The next chapter in the critically acclaimed Old City Blues series! The year is 2048. Southeastern Europe. Built on the ruins of the country once known as Greece, New Athens is a city crawling with life-low-life that is. From mech smugglers and drug dealers, to corrupt politicians and all-too-powerful corporations, the city is at the mercy of high-tech criminals. And it's up to Solano, Thermidor, and the rest of the New Athens Special Police to keep the city in order. This edition collects "Private Enemy" and the brand-new "Prothetic Corpus" story arcs.
The current king of cyberpunk comix, Giannis Milonogiannis returns with the second installment of his scratchy, dirty, rain drenched world of Old City Blues featuring Solano and the New Athens Special Police!! You might be asking why the hell it's taken so long for a second volume, but Giannis has been cutting his teeth on the hard core sci-fi epic that is Prophet for Image and the fruits of his labors are evident on every page of Vol 2. So grab your decks and jack into the next level of cyberpunk!!

Beloved for his graffiti-inflected science fiction comics, Brandon Graham has developed a punning, humorous and sexy universe of machines, logos, women, and bumbling men, all cast in an alternate Sci-Fi universe. Walrus, Graham's first art book, collects drawings and sketchbook comics spanning 2009-2012, and allows readers a glimpse into his creative process and obsessions. Here we glimpse everything from the puttering pace of domestic life to high energy drawing riffs to homages to cult comic book characters.
Yes, yes, we are hype whores for Brandon Graham...but can you really blame us?
This week, Casey and Morgan bring you some of the most exciting comics from this week! Sexica and her Werewolf boyfriend run into trouble on their way to the Whaling wall while Nura keeps running into different versions of the man she was sent to kill.
Do I really need to harp on you people to read this comic? Haven't you heard the spiel before? Nothing on the racks even comes close to how freaking awesome this comic is...ok, well there are some, but damn this sh*t's funky good! RECOMMENDED BY CASEY!
This week is loaded with goodies. We talk about books like Talon, Batman Inc, Punisher War Zone, and Multiple Warheads by Brandon Graham. We also talk about the new Prophet issue with a backup story by our own Casey!

Sexica and her Werewolf boyfriend Nikoli travel across a sci-fi, fantasy Russia smoking singing cigarettes. Meanwhile the organ hunter, Nura is sent out with a severed head and instructions to find its body.
After years and years of waiting for FULL COLOR Brandon Graham, the first issue of his Russian sci-fi epic is here!! Werewolves, caffeine cigarettes, state grown squid produce inspectors; these are just a few things that are sure to make this the best comic of 2012. While this may seem overwhelming, the backdrop is merely that, with Brandon really focusing on the interpersonal relationships of his characters, allowing the reader to identify with even the most unusual occurrences. I will personally shame ALL who do not buy this comic, so avoid public humiliation and buy the damn comic! RECOMMENDED BY CASEY!!
(W/A) Ken Garing
Silas, an ex-soldier turned space pirate, finds himself stranded on a mysterious planet in alien territory. As he explores the long-abandoned industrial ruins of the planet's surface he will have to fend off rogue mechanical creatures, roving cyborg militias, and a hostile alien military with a bounty on his head. Silas will have to rely on resourcefulness and bare-bones survival tactics in order to stay alive and ultimately unlock the secrets of a planet where survival is a luxury and escape an impossibility.
It's a double dose of post-apocalyptic goodness this week as Image rolls out another fantastic looking #1 by up and coming writer/artist, Ken Garing! In the industrial wasteland that is his world, Silas must fight tooth and nail against the hordes of roving machines hellbent on his destruction in this hardcore, sci-fi action thriller that is sure to please fans of Prophet and those needing a further dose of Prometheus after seeing the movie this weekend. RECOMMENDED BY CASEY!
