MUDMAN #6

(W/A) Paul Grist

When his mud powers go out of control, Owen Craig has no choice but to turn to the mysterious Mister Gull for help. But just because it's the only choice doesn't make it a good one.

After a short break, Paul Grist, master of the sequential arrangement of framed boxes returns with his brilliant and pure love letter to super-hero books of the past! Mudman reads like early Ditko Spider-Man complete with reluctant teenage angst ridden heroes, weird half naked ocean powered villains, mysterious mentors dressed as pirates and a gorgeous girl next door all wrapped up in a perfectly crafted package of pure fun. This is a creator who has clearly found exactly what he wants to do and is having a blast drawing this book for other people to enjoy! RECOMMENDED BY CASEY!

MUDMAN #4

(W/A) Paul Grist

Burnbridge on Sea is under attack... from the sea? Mudman is the only person who can the tide - but when you're made of mud, water isn't the easiest thing to stop.

Truly one of the best and most often overlooked cartoonists in the business today, Paul Grist has been turning out unique, funny and visually exciting comics of all genres for many years to much critical acclaim. I just discovered Grist with this series and was blown away by the flow and structure of the story, as well as how fully realized the characters were after just one issue. I highly encourage anyone wanting some old school, fun Super-Hero comics or just well done books in general, to give it a try this week! RECOMMENDED BY CASEY!!
