And in the backup feature, Snagglepuss is a Southern gothic playwright working with an ensemble cast of cultural figures, exploring an intensely creative time in the New York City theater scene of the 1950s...

And don't forget to check out the rest of the Hanna Barbara/DC Universe teamups shipping this week featuring Space Ghost, Johnny Quest, Adam Strange, Booster Gold and more!!

Suicide Squad/Banana Splits Special #1
I was a Charter Member of the Banana Splits Club when the TV show launched way back in 1968, so when I first heard this special was coming up I was as happy as a Sour Grapes girl delivering a snarky message. But then I saw the backup feature, and I went, "Ho-o-old The Bus!". Snagglepuss as a "gay Southern Gothic playwright"? Set in 1950's era Broadway? With cameo appearances by Marlon Brando and Dorothy Parker? Huckleberry Hound as William Faulkner? There is just too much here to love. For more about the Snagglepuss feature, see CBR!
