Having whet your appetite with his character studies in his book PROLOGUES from last year, Mark Allender comes through with the first installment of his epic tale, KILL THE WIZARD. This mostly wordless story of wizards, dragons, warriors and common folk is reminicent of the work of Brian Ralph (Cave In) and Kazimir Strzepek (Mourning Star). Drawn in stark chiaroscuro, Allender has a great sense of pacing and captures amazing emotional depth in his characters.
